About Our Company
A Drainage Company Built to Handle the Whole Problem
Vancouver Underground Drainage Experts started in 2019 with a simple goal: provide customers with experienced drainage specialists who can properly diagnose a problem and then provide the right solution.
Drainage problems can range from a clogged underground line or a soggy residential yard to a major perimeter drainage failure, foundation water problem or excavation project. Because of that, we have built a team that can handle both ends of the work.
For smaller residential drainage problems, Alex brings more than 10 years of experience diagnosing underground drainage issues, inspecting lines, hydro flushing and solving difficult problems that other companies have sometimes been unable to identify.
For larger projects, Ricardo brings more than 20 years of experience in drainage, excavation and landscaping. He works with a crew of approximately 20 people and has access to the equipment required for substantial drainage projects throughout Greater Vancouver.
Behind the field team is a dedicated office staff — Hans, Ashta and Hannah — who answer calls, coordinate appointments, manage projects and help make sure customers are taken care of from the first conversation through completion.

Ricardo Quintana
Large Drainage, Excavation & Landscaping Specialist
Ricardo brings more than 20 years of hands-on experience completing drainage, excavation and landscaping projects throughout Greater Vancouver.
His experience is particularly valuable when a drainage problem goes beyond cleaning a line or making a small repair. When a project requires excavation, drainage replacement, foundation work or significant site work, Ricardo has the experience, crew and equipment needed to take on the larger job.
For substantial projects, Ricardo works with a crew of approximately 20 people. This gives Vancouver Underground Drainage Experts the ability to scale from smaller residential drainage work to larger excavation and drainage projects without having to send customers elsewhere when the scope becomes more complex.

Residential Drainage Specialist & Problem Solver
Alex has more than 10 years of drainage experience and specializes in diagnosing and solving underground drainage problems at residential properties throughout Greater Vancouver.
Drainage is something Alex genuinely enjoys. If you speak with him about a drainage problem, you quickly see that he wants to understand why the problem is happening rather than simply recommend a repair.
Some of the most difficult calls we receive are from homeowners who have already had other contractors inspect their property but still cannot determine why a yard remains soggy, why water keeps appearing around the foundation, or where an underground drainage problem is coming from.
These are exactly the types of problems Alex likes solving. He looks at the property, follows the drainage system, uses diagnostic equipment when needed and works through the possibilities until he can determine the likely cause and recommend a practical solution.

Water problems can be misleading. The area where you see water is not always where the drainage failure is located.
A soggy yard, wet area beside a foundation or recurring drainage issue may come from a blockage, damaged underground pipe, poor drainage connection, roots, an older drain tile system or another problem somewhere else on the property.
Alex’s job is to work through those possibilities and determine what is actually happening before recommending the next step.

Ashta has been part of Vancouver Underground Drainage Experts since the company started in 2019.
She is extremely organized and stays on top of the details that keep projects moving. From scheduling and communication to coordinating crews and following up on work, Ashta helps make sure things do not fall through the cracks.
When a project has multiple steps, appointments, technicians or moving parts, she is one of the people making sure everyone knows what needs to happen next.
